On September 6, 2008, at Lanier National Speedway in Braselton, Ga., 12-year-old Chase Elliott, drove the #9 ABF Legends car to his first ever Legends Semi-Pro division victory.

"I can't believe I pulled that off. It was awesome," Chase said from the winner's circle. "Somehow I was able to keep the others behind me and then pinch him [Austin Hill] off and beat him to the line. It's a pretty good car."

Crew chief, team owner and proud dad, Bill Elliott said, "That was the most competitive I've ever seen Chase race. He really did a great job."

Chase, the youngest member of the Bill Elliott Driver Development Team, celebrated his hard-fought victory by doing donuts for the crowd and then climbing on top of his car in the winner's circle. Parents Bill and Cindy Elliott and Uncle Dan Elliott were on-hand to congratulate the young driver.

In 2007, Chase captured his first major racing title when he won the championship of the Young Guns division of both the Georgia Winter Series and the Winter Flurry Series at Atlanta Motor Speedway (AMS) in the #9 ABF Bandolero, capping off a stellar season in which he won 10 of the 12 events and finished no less than third in his first season in the Young Guns division of the Bandolero class.

Chase also set a new Young Guns track record for AMS's Thunder Ring on December 14, 2007, pacing the quarter-mile oval in 16.950 seconds.

Currently, Chase competes for the INEX Semi Pro championship. INEX is the international sanctioning body of the Legends, Bandolero, and Thunder Roadster Cars. Formed in 1995, INEX was developed to promote, organize and sanction Legends Cars, Bandolero, and Thunder Roadster racing across the United States, Canada, and Europe.
