With the advent of NASCAR's Car of Tomorrow, Nationwide Series cars have become very different from their Sprint Cup Series counterparts. The main differences are a slightly shorter wheelbase (105" instead of 110"), 100 pounds less weight, a spoiler instead of a wing, and a less powerful engine.
The NASCAR national touring series schedules are comprised of events across the United States and Canada. Beginning in February at Daytona International Speedway and concluding in November at Homestead-Miami Speedway, the Sprint Cup Series, Nationwide Series and Camping World Truck Series visit a combined total of 30 tracks, including Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal. Races are held at a variety of tracks types, including short tracks, intermediate tracks, superspeedways and road courses.
